Minister Al-Huwail affirms Kuwait’s commitment to empower youth

The Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Children’s Affairs, and Minister of State for Youth Affairs emphasized policies and programs aimed at fostering leadership skills and enhancing capabilities across various youth sectors.

Dr. Amal Al-Huwail, Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Children’s Affairs, and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, expressed her great confidence in the ability of these young people to confront all challenges and contribute to the sustainable development of Arab countries.

Kuwait recognizes the importance of supporting and motivating young people as the most critical force for nation-building, and seeks to highlight their potential.

 

Dr. Amal Al-Huwail, Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childrens Affairs, and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, reaffirmed Kuwaits dedication to supporting and empowering young people. She emphasized the implementation of policies and programs aimed at fostering leadership skills and enhancing capabilities across various youth sectors, as reported by Al-Qabas newspaper.

Minister Al-Huwail told KUNA on Thursday, on the occasion of Kuwait and Arab countries celebrating Arab Youth Day, which falls on Friday, that dedicating this day to celebrate Arab youth embodies the vital role they play in shaping the future of our Arab nation.

She added that the celebration of Arab Youth Day “also reflects the visions and wise guidance of Arab leaders in supporting young people, as evidenced by the numerous youth conferences and activities held annually across the Arab world.”

She explained that Kuwait recognizes the importance of supporting and motivating young people as the most critical force for nation-building, and seeks to highlight their potential.

The Public Authority for Youth is working to launch various initiatives, programs, and projects aimed at enhancing the capabilities of young people and equipping them with the necessary skills to meet the challenges of the times.

She stated that the authority is also working to strengthen relations between Kuwaiti youth and their Arab counterparts to foster cooperation and integration in various fields of interest to young people. This includes exchanging successful experiences through visits, events, and joint programs.

She stressed that this effort aims to consolidate the historical relations between Kuwait and its Arab counterparts. She pointed out that the integration and cooperation among Arab youth would contribute to achieving common goals in developing youth initiatives across Arab countries.

Minister Al-Huwail congratulated the masses of Arab youth on their day, which reflects the high appreciation they receive from official Arab institutions. She expressed her great confidence in the ability of these young people to confront all challenges and contribute to the sustainable development of Arab countries.

It is noteworthy that Arab Youth Day falls on July 5 every year and was adopted by the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Youth and Sports Ministers during its 66th session to emphasize the development of Arab youth initiatives and cooperation across various fields.
