Last 6 months travel ban on 43 thousand residents

A recent statistic of the Implementation Department (Travel Prevention Department) in the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) revealed that 43,289 citizens and residents were prevented from travelling out of the country in the first half of this year.

The statistics indicated that the number of travel ban procedures in the family court amounted to 2,825 procedures, and 2672 procedures were recorded in the family court.

Statistics stated that May was the highest in the number of travel ban orders with 9021 orders and the least was April with 5528 travel ban orders during the period from the beginning of January until the end of June 2024.

Legal sources confirmed that the most common issues causing the travel ban are expenses, premiums of all kinds, phone bills, electricity and water.
