Kuwait’s weekend weather to get colder, cloudy, thundery with scattered rains
The Kuwait Meteorological Department has forecast that the weather in the country over the weekend will be cold during the day and cold to very cold at night.
The Director of the Meteorological Department, Dharar Al-Ali, told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the country is being affected by an extension of a high-pressure system accompanied by a cold and dry air mass. This will bring light to moderate northwesterly winds and some scattered clouds appearing.
Al-Ali added that starting tomorrow, Friday, 20 December afternoon, a low-pressure system will affect the winds, causing them to shift to light to moderate southeasterly winds. These winds may occasionally become active, with a chance of scattered rain, which could sometimes be thundery.
Furthermore, Al-Ali explained that on Thursday, December 19, the weather will be moderate to cold with light to moderate northwesterly winds, ranging from 10 to 38 km/h. Some high clouds will be visible.
Maximum temperatures will be between 20 and 18 degrees Celsius, and the sea will be light to moderate, with waves ranging from 2 to 5 feet.
Tonight, the weather will be cold to very cold and partly cloudy with northwesterly to variable winds, light to moderate in speed, ranging from 8 to 28 km/h.
The expected minimum temperatures will be between 7 and 9 degrees Celsius, and the sea will be light to moderate with waves between 1 and 4 feet.
On Friday, the weather will be moderate and partly cloudy to cloudy, with light to moderate southeasterly winds, sometimes active, ranging from 12 to 40 km/h. There is a chance of scattered rain, which may be thundery later.
Maximum temperatures will range between 20 and 22 degrees Celsius, and the sea will be light to moderate, with waves occasionally reaching between 2 and 6 feet.
Tomorrow night, the weather will be cold to very cold, with cloudy to partly cloudy skies. Southeasterly to variable winds, light to moderate in speed, sometimes active, ranging between 8 and 40 km/h. There is a chance of scattered rain, which may be thundery at times.
Minimum temperatures will range between 10 and 12 degrees Celsius, and the sea will be light to moderate with waves occasionally reaching between 2 and 6 feet.
On Saturday, the weather will be cool with light to moderate northwesterly winds, sometimes active, ranging between 12 and 45 kilometers per hour. There is a chance of dust in exposed areas.
Maximum temperatures will range between 17 and 19 degrees Celsius, and the sea will be light to moderate with waves occasionally reaching between 2 and 6 feet.
Saturday night, the weather will be cold to very cold with northwesterly winds, light to moderate in speed, sometimes active, ranging between 12 and 42 kilometers per hour.
The expected minimum temperatures will be between 7 and 9 degrees Celsius, and the sea will be light to moderate with waves occasionally reaching between 2 and 6 feet.
