Data released by the Chinese government revealed that Kuwait’s exports to China recorded an annual jump of 48.9% during the first half of this year, reaching about $8.79 billion, compared to the value of its exports amounting to $5.9 billion during the same period in 2023.
The UAE recorded a decline in the value of its exports to China in the first half to $18.66 billion, and exported during the same period in 2023 a value of $19.39 billion, down by 3.75%.
Oman’s exports to China ranked third, amounting to about $15.78 billion, and the value of its exports during the comparative half of 2023 amounted to about $15.38 billion, a decline of 2.6%.
Qatar came in fourth place, with exports to China amounting to $9.89 billion during the first half, compared to exports of the same half of $10.58 billion, down by 6.43%.
In sixth and last place, Bahrain’s exports to China decreased by 4.5% during the first half, reaching $88.9 million, while the total value of its exports from the first half of last year reached $93.13 million.
The data showed that the total exports of the People’s Republic of China decreased by 2.65% during the first half of 2024, to $1.71 trillion, compared to $1.66 trillion during the first half of 2023.
