Kuwait’s 3rd International Family Medicine Conference opens April 24
The three-day event features over thirty specialized scientific sessions, in addition to ten interactive workshops aimed at enhancing the clinical and practical skills of participating physicians.

• Dr. Mohammad Al-Azemi, the head of the Kuwait Association of Family Physicians and General Practitioners, said, “The conference, held under the slogan ‘Excellence in Care,’ will be attended by fifty local and international experts and specialists in family medicine and primary healthcare.”
The Kuwait Association of Family Physicians and General Practitioners, in collaboration with the Gulf Society of Family Medicine, announced the organization of the third Kuwait International Family Medicine Conference.
The event will be held under the patronage of Health Minister Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi from April 24 to 26 at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, as reported by Arabic daily Al Jarida.
The head of the association and society, Dr. Mohammad Al-Azemi, said, “The conference, held under the slogan ‘Excellence in Care,’ will be attended by fifty local and international experts and specialists in family medicine and primary healthcare.”
Al-Azemi added that the conference supports Kuwait’s Vision 2035 and aligns with the global sustainable development goals set by the United Nations. He explained that the conference will highlight the vital role of family physicians in improving individual and community health, as well as enhancing the quality and efficiency of healthcare.
He pointed out that the event represents a significant strategic initiative to advance the development of family medicine in Kuwait and the Gulf, promoting concepts of prevention and integrated care, while also emphasizing the importance of innovation, scientific research, and enabling physicians to stay updated on the latest global medical practices.
Al-Azemi further stated that the conference will feature over thirty specialized scientific sessions, in addition to ten interactive workshops aimed at enhancing the clinical and practical skills of participating physicians.
He added, “The conference will feature a unique space for innovation and scientific research, with three scientific poster competitions, where prizes will be awarded to the best three posters and research papers in each competition. The aim is to encourage young researchers and foster the spirit of scientific excellence within the medical community.”
