Kuwait to gradually resume flights to 13 countries starting Sunday
40 daily flights during first phase as flights resume from Kuwait airport begins with key destinations

- Destinations include Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom, the Philippines, Turkey, India, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Bangladesh, Jordan, China, and Pakistan.
Abdullah Al-Rajhi, Acting Deputy Director General for Aviation Safety, Air Transport and Civil Aviation Security, announced that flights from Kuwait International Airport will be gradually resumed to a number of key international destinations.
He said the initial destinations include Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom, the Philippines, Turkey, India, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Bangladesh, Jordan, China, and Pakistan.
Al-Rajhi explained that operations will begin gradually starting next Sunday, with flights departing from passenger terminals T4 and T5 to these destinations, reports Al-Qabas daily.
He noted that the first phase will include around 20 departing flights and a similar number of arriving flights daily. This stage will serve as an evaluation period, during which any operational observations will be reviewed and addressed ahead of the second phase.
He emphasized the importance of implementing a comprehensive plan to ensure the highest standards of safety and security, while maintaining smooth operations in coordination with airports in destination countries.
Al-Rajhi added that subsequent phases will witness an increase in flight frequency and the possible addition of new destinations, as part of efforts to expand connectivity.
He also stressed the need for close coordination between the Public Authority for Civil Aviation and the Ministry of Interior to regulate airport traffic, enhance ground services, and facilitate passenger movement.
Travelers have been urged to cooperate and adhere to official instructions to ensure a smooth and efficient transition to the next phase of operations.
