Kuwait helps stranded Iraqi pilgrims reach their homeland

The Ministry of Interior announced that it has begun facilitating the entry and safe transit of stranded Iraqi travelers and pilgrims into Kuwait by air and ensuring their onward journey to Iraq via land border points. The initiative follows the closure of airspaces by several countries in the region due to the ongoing ‘conflict’.
This humanitarian effort comes under direct instructions from Kuwait’s political leadership and reflects the country’s commitment to assist those affected by regional emergency situations.
As part of the measures, the Al-Rai daily said, the Ministry has issued free entry visas and coordinated with relevant authorities to ensure a smooth transfer of those affected to land border points for onward journey to the Republic of Iraq.
The Ministry emphasized that this move underscores Kuwait’s steadfast humanitarian stance and its role in promoting regional cooperation and solidarity.
It also reaffirms Kuwait’s commitment to the directives of the leadership in responding swiftly to crises and alleviating the suffering of those affected.
The action aligns with Kuwait’s broader regional integration policy and highlights the country’s national and humanitarian responsibilities on both regional and international levels.
