Kuwait Foils Attempt to Smuggle 12 Kilograms of Shabu Hidden in Heavy Equipment

In continuation of intensive security and preemptive anti-narcotics efforts, Kuwait’s General Department for Drug Control has thwarted an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of the narcotic substance “shabu” into the country and arrested two Arab nationals involved in the operation.

According to the Interior Ministry, the case came to light following confidential information indicating a sophisticated plan to traffic drugs using innovative concealment methods.

After extensive investigations and surveillance of the suspects’ movements, authorities apprehended the two men in possession of 12 kilograms of shabu. Investigations revealed that the drugs had been professionally hidden inside hydraulic cylinders used in heavy machinery and trucks in an attempt to evade detection by security personnel.

The seized narcotics and the suspects were referred to the competent authorities for legal action.

The Interior Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining strict vigilance in protecting the country from drug-related crimes and pledged firm action against anyone attempting to endanger society with narcotics.
