Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah, Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs, affirmed that “Kuwait’s reputation must not be compromised by any misconduct—whether unintentional or deliberate—especially when it comes to charitable work,” reported Arabic daily Al Rai.
In a meeting on Thursday with the heads of charitable organizations, she said, “There are many issues that must be addressed and discussed, as some organizations have deviated from the right path.”
She continued, “We need to work together to review and correct the course taken by certain organizations, particularly in how they collect donations—especially those from abroad.”
