Kuwait is expected to experience hot and relatively humid weather over the weekend, particularly in coastal areas during the day, with warm and humid conditions continuing at night, according to the Meteorological Department.
Acting Director of the Meteorological Department Abdulaziz Al-Qarawi said weather maps and numerical models indicate the country will be affected by an extension of a surface low-pressure system accompanied by a hot and humid air mass, along with light to moderate southeasterly to variable winds.
He said Friday’s weather will be hot and relatively humid, especially along coastal regions, with light to moderate southeasterly winds. Maximum temperatures are expected to range between 43°C and 45°C, while nighttime lows will range between 24°C and 26°C, with continued humidity.
For Saturday, Al-Qarawi said conditions will remain hot and relatively humid, with southeasterly winds remaining light to moderate. Maximum temperatures are also expected to remain between 43°C and 45°C, while minimum temperatures are forecast to rise slightly, ranging between 30°C and 32°C.
The department noted that coastal areas will feel more humid conditions compared to inland regions, increasing the perceived heat during the daytime, while nights will remain warm with sustained humidity levels.
Authorities continue to advise caution during peak afternoon hours as Kuwait experiences typical summer weather patterns characterized by extreme heat and elevated humidity levels.
