Kuwait Arrests Four Convicted of Embezzling $180 Million in Public Funds
The Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of four individuals convicted in court cases for embezzling public funds and causing substantial damage to these funds, amounting to USD 180 million after attempting to evade capture and avoid execution.
In a press statement on Saturday, the Ministry said that the Criminal Enforcement Department will not tolerate any attempts to evade capture or avoid the execution of judgments issued against them.
The Ministry urged all individuals with outstanding court judgments against them to surrender themselves to the competent authorities and resolve their legal status, and not to wait for security measures to be taken, which may include raids, arrests, and detentions, as required by law.
