Kuwait approves 303.5-million-dinar project to modernize oil export facilities

The Central Agency for Public Tenders (CAPT) has approved the award of a major contract to Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) for the development of crude oil storage facilities and the upgrading of the country’s existing oil export infrastructure network.

The contract, valued at 303.504 million dinars (around $992 million), has been awarded to Indian engineering and construction company Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T).

The project includes the construction and development of storage facilities for Kuwait Export Crude (KEC) and Jurassic crude, along with improvements to the existing export facilities system to enhance operational efficiency and support Kuwait’s long-term oil production and export plans
