KRCS convenes emergency meeting to enhance preparedness amid regional tensions

The Board of Directors of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society held an extraordinary meeting, chaired by Chairman Khaled Al-Mughamis, to review precautionary measures and bolster the Society’s readiness to respond swiftly to potential emergencies amid escalating regional developments.

Al-Mughamis reaffirmed the Society’s role as Kuwait’s leading humanitarian institution, emphasizing its commitment to fulfilling relief and humanitarian responsibilities both domestically and abroad. He stressed that the Society operates within a framework of neutrality, preparedness, and close coordination with relevant government entities, reports Al-Rai daily.

The meeting focused on field response plans, including securing adequate supplies of medical aid, food stockpiles, and logistical equipment necessary for immediate deployment. Attendees also reviewed coordination protocols with government agencies to ensure an efficient and timely response should humanitarian intervention become necessary.

Al-Mughamis praised the proactive steps taken by the Kuwaiti government to safeguard national security and public safety, expressing appreciation for its efforts in maintaining stability during these critical times.
