KPA moves to speed up customs clearance amid regional developments
Kuwait strengthens supply chain readiness as key agencies meet on customs facilitation; high-level coordination meeting held to secure smooth flow of goods through Kuwaiti ports

The Kuwait Ports Authority held a high-level coordination meeting on Sunday morning aimed at streamlining customs clearance procedures and ensuring the uninterrupted flow of incoming goods through the country’s ports.
The meeting was chaired by Director General Sheikh Khalid Salem Al-Sabah and brought together senior officials from key regulatory and oversight bodies, including the Head of the General Administration of Customs, the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Drug and Food Control Affairs, as well as directors general from the Public Authority for Industry, the Public Authority for the Environment, and the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition.
According to the Authority, the discussions focused on enhancing coordination between relevant agencies to facilitate faster and more efficient clearance processes, while maintaining full regulatory compliance across imported goods, particularly food, medical, industrial, and environmental shipments, reports Al-Rai daily.
Officials emphasized that this initiative comes as part of broader preparedness measures in response to current regional developments, with the aim of safeguarding supply chain stability and improving service quality at ports.
The coordination effort reflects Kuwait’s continued focus on maintaining the resilience of its logistics and import systems, ensuring that commercial and essential goods continue to flow smoothly despite external regional pressures.
