Kuwait expands strategic storage capacity with new state land agreement
New warehousing initiative aims to strengthen supply chain security in Kuwait as Finance Ministry grants license for large-scale food and medical storage facilities

The Ministry of Finance, through its State Property Administration, has signed a licensing agreement with the Kuwaiti Storage Company, a government-owned entity under the Kuwait Investment Authority, granting it the right to utilize state-owned land for the establishment of storage facilities dedicated to food, pharmaceuticals, and medical supplies.
The agreement also allows for the possibility of expanding the scope of storage activities in the future to include additional materials as needed.
According to the Ministry, the initiative is part of efforts to enhance national storage capacity by developing large and strategically located warehouses across various regions of Kuwait.
This step is intended to support supply chain efficiency and ensure the availability of essential goods, particularly in sectors linked to food security and public health.
Officials noted that the project reflects ongoing government efforts to strengthen infrastructure related to logistics and storage, thereby improving readiness and supporting long-term stability in the distribution of essential commodities.
