The US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed that it has rerouted 86 commercial vessels since the US reimposed blockade on Iranian ports in mid-July.
CENTCOM said in a statement that, as of September 2, US forces had altered the course of 86 commercial vessels, disabled three , and inspected two to ensure full compliance with the embargo imposed on Iran.
CENTCOM commander Admiral Brad Cooper confirmed that US forces have not allowed Iran to export any oil from its shores since the resumption of the embargo, adding US Navy is strictly enforcing the naval blockade imposed on Iranian ports.
