KGEC and KGLEC marked their first-year anniversary with a blood donation drive

The event, organized by two leading Filipino groups and supported by Vinta Cafe and Restaurant and other donors, attracted 40 organizations and over 500 attendees.

Two leading Filipino organizations in Kuwait launched a major blood donation campaign on Friday at AdanHospital’s Blood Donation Center. The event, supported by Vinta Cafe and Restaurant and other generous donors, saw participation from forty different organizations.

The event, attended by more than five hundred Filipinos and other nationals, began donor registration at 1 p.m. Medical check-ups were conducted to ensure donors were qualified to give blood. Refreshments and gifts were provided to guests and donors.

H E Jose Cabrera, the Philippine Ambassador to Kuwait, was joined by Labor Attache Manuel Dimaanoand Assistant Labor Attache Cathy Duladul in gracing the event.

In a brief interview, Jude Rodriguez, Chartered President of the Kuwait Golden Eagles Club, mentioned that the Kuwait Gulf Eagles Club and Kuwait Gulf Ladies Eagles Club decided to organize this giving event to provide blood to those in need rather than spend on an expensive dinner.

“I thank the organizations, support establishments, and individuals who placed their trust in us to lead this unforgettable occasion,” Rodriguez said.

Josefina Rodriguez, Chartered President of the Kuwait Golden Lady Eagles Club, also thanked everyone who contributed their time and effort to the event. Vinta Cafe and Restaurant was a major supporter of the occasion.
