Key link road between Sabah Al-Salem, Al-Masayel and Fahaheel Road opened for traffic
The Ministry of Public Works has announced the opening of the road connecting the Sabah Al-Salem and Al-Masayel areas to Fahaheel Road, following the completion of extensive major maintenance works carried out under new contracts aimed at upgrading and rehabilitating the country’s road network.
In a statement, the Ministry said the reopening comes after the completion of all required maintenance works and technical tests, conducted in line with the latest approved engineering specifications and standards.
The measures are part of ongoing efforts to enhance road infrastructure quality, improve traffic safety levels, and ensure smoother traffic flow across key routes.
The Ministry noted that the project forms part of its broader plan to rehabilitate and upgrade roads across the country under the new maintenance contracts.
It added that the opening of the road is expected to significantly ease traffic movement between Sabah Al-Salem and Al-Masayel, while improving connectivity to Fahaheel Road.
Reaffirming its commitment, the Ministry stressed that it will continue implementing major road maintenance projects and opening completed routes in phases. It also urged motorists to adhere to speed limits and traffic regulations to ensure the safety of all road users.
