Islamic Art House exhibition celebrates the beauty and architecture of Kuwait’s mosques

Representative of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology and Acting Minister of Information and Culture Omar Al-Omar on Wednesday opened an exhibition at Dar Al-Athar Al-Islamiyyah celebrating the beauty and architectural artistry of mosques.

Speaking at the opening, Al-Omar said Islamic history has consistently brought together craftsmanship, architectural excellence and mosques, which over the centuries have evolved into oases of tranquility reflecting the purity of faith. He said the exhibition is distinctive because its concept grew from the questions and curiosity of children who admired the beauty of mosques and wondered how these architectural works were created and why such painstaking effort was devoted to perfecting them.

Exhibition coordinator Engineer Maha Al-Issa said the exhibition aims to provide children with space to ask questions, conduct research and explore the artistic and architectural beauty of mosques. Shell Kuwait CEO Anwar Al-Mutlaq said the concept of excellence represents a profound human value extending beyond art and architecture, reflecting the pursuit of perfection and the commitment to giving the best in service to the community.

Kuwait Finance House Group CEO Khaled Al-Shamlan, meanwhile, underscored the importance of Islamic values, saying KFH is committed to embodying them through its work, partnerships and sustainable initiatives.

Held under the patronage of His Highness the Prime Minister, the exhibition is being hosted at the Americani Cultural Center and will open to visitors on Thursday.
