Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) navy said it has closed the Strait of Hormuz “until further notice”.
“The Strait of Hormuz is closed until further notice and until the end of America’s interventions in the region, and no vessel will be permitted to pass through,” the IRGC was quoted by Iran’s TASNIM news agency as saying in a statement on Saturday.
The IRGC added that its forces had stopped a ship after allegedly ignoring repeated warnings.
