Interior Ministry arrests four with 919 alcohol bottles, 200 psychotropic pills

The General Department of Security Media at the Ministry of Interior announced that as part of ongoing efforts to combat drug and alcohol smuggling, the Criminal Security Sector, represented by the General Department for Drug Control, has arrested a four-member gang involved in distributing imported alcohol and psychotropic substances across Kuwait.

After verifying the received information and securing legal authorization from the Public Prosecution, authorities arrested the suspects, two citizens, a Saudi national, and an Indian national, who were in possession of 919 bottles of imported alcohol, and approximately 200 psychotropic tablets.

The suspects and the seized items have been referred to the Drug and Alcohol Prosecution Office for legal proceedings.

The General Department of Narcotics Control reaffirmed its commitment to ongoing security campaigns targeting drug and alcohol dealers, stressing the importance of taking firm action against anyone attempting to compromise public security by trafficking or distributing these prohibited substances.
