IDF Kuwait elects new leadership for 2024-2026 term at annual meeting

The Indian Doctors Forum (IDF) Kuwait held its Annual General Body Meeting at Hotel Regency, where new office bearers for the 2024-2026 term were elected. This event was a significant occasion for the community, as it not only welcomed the new leadership but also celebrated the achievements of outgoing office bearers and honored senior doctors leaving Kuwait.
In an emotional tribute, the forum honored Dr. Ramesh Pandita and Dr. Mohammad Shukoor, two distinguished senior doctors who are set to leave Kuwait. Their contributions to the healthcare sector and dedication to the forum were lauded by all attendees.
Additionally, the evening featured a special segment honoring students of Indian origin who excelled in their 10th and 12th board examinations. These meritorious students were recognized for their academic excellence, reflecting the forum’s commitment to encouraging the younger generation.
In a significant step for the Indian Doctors Forum, the newly elected office bearers for the 2024-2026 term have been announced.
Dr. Sameer Humad takes on the role of President, with Dr. Mohan Ram serving as Vice President and Dr. SusovanaSujith as the Vice President (female). The General Secretary position will be held by Dr. Philipose George, while Dr. Rajendra Mishra will assume the role of Joint General Secretary.
In financial matters, Dr. Sunny Varghese has been appointed Treasurer, alongside Dr. Jibin John Thomas as Joint Treasurer. The cultural initiatives will be led by Dr. Anila Antony as Cultural Secretary and Dr. Fibisha Balanas Joint Cultural Secretary.
For community engagement, Dr. RayavaramRaghunandan has been named Community Secretary, with Dr. Sriram Nathan as Joint Community Secretary.
In communication roles, Dr. Shahed Khan Pathan serves as Communication Secretary, with Dr. Rajesh Vasudevaas Joint Communication Secretary. Finally, Dr. ImtiazNawas has been appointed Membership Secretary, and Dr. Mohammad Umar Tak will serve as Joint Membership Secretary.
The newly appointed team expressed its commitment to building on the forum’s legacy, fostering camaraderie within the Indian medical community, and advancing healthcare services in Kuwait.
