HH the Amir receives UAE President, hold summit talks
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received on Thursday President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan and his accompanying delegation on their official visit to the country.
His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah were also present at the audience of Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed ways to support and develop bilateral relations in all fields, emphasizing the importance of expanding bilateral cooperation to serve their common interests.
They also discussed the latest regional and international developments, particularly the situation in the Middle East, affirming their countries’ support for all initiatives, endeavors, and efforts aimed at establishing peace, security and stability in the region.
The meeting also addressed key issues of common interest in the Gulf, and emphasized the importance of strengthening unity and advancing GCC countries to fulfill the aspirations of their people for further development and prosperity.
The meeting was attended by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, and Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah and Head of the Crown Prince’s Diwan Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
Also attending were Minister of Defense Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Director of the Office of His Highness the Amir Lieutenant General (Retired) Jamal Al Theyab, Undersecretary of the Amiri Diwan Sheikh Abdulaziz Mishal Mubarak Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and the Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs at the Amiri Diwan Mazen Al-Issa.
The meeting was attended from the UAE side by Deputy President, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of President Court Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the President Court for Special Affairs Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, President’s Adviser Sheikh Mohammad bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al-Nahyan, and other senior UAE officials. – KUNA
