PACI rolls out seamless digital signature activation via ‘My Identity’

The Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) has introduced a new mechanism that allows users to activate the electronic signature service directly through the ‘My Identity’ application, eliminating the need to visit self-service kiosks and further strengthening Kuwait’s digital government services.
In a statement posted on its official account on the X platform, PACI said the service is being rolled out in phases, with the first stage currently available exclusively to Kuwaiti citizens.
The authority added that the facility will gradually be extended to other eligible categories in the coming phases.
The new activation process is designed to provide a faster and more convenient user experience, enabling beneficiaries to complete the electronic signature registration entirely through the mobile application without requiring an in-person visit to PACI service centers or self-service devices.
To activate the service, users must have a valid Civil ID card, a passport, and the My Identity application installed on the mobile device.
The initiative forms part of PACI’s ongoing efforts to expand digital services and enhance secure electronic authentication, supporting Kuwait’s broader digital transformation strategy.
