GCC Customs Union delegation reviews joint customs projects at three Kuwaiti ports
Field visits to Nuwaiseeb, Shuwaikh and Air Cargo Customs assess implementation of shared decisions and procedures

A delegation from the GCC Customs Union Authority paid a visit to three Kuwaiti ports of entry to assess how joint customs decisions and projects are being implemented, as part of regional efforts to strengthen cooperation, improve operational efficiency and facilitate trade.
The visiting delegation during its field inspection program was received by Kuwait’s General Administration of Customs head, Yousef Khaled Al-Nuwaif, and Deputy Head for Ports, Search and Customs Investigation Saleh Mohammed Al-Omar, and other customs officials.
The visits covered the Nuwaiseeb Port, Shuwaikh Port and Air Cargo Customs. At each location, the delegation reviewed operational procedures, work mechanisms and progress in implementing the joint customs projects and decisions under evaluation. Officials at the three ports provided explanations of how the measures were being applied.
The field visits are intended to verify implementation on the ground, support coordination among member states and encourage the exchange of expertise. The initiative also aims to improve the performance of customs operations, develop services at ports of entry, facilitate the movement of goods and strengthen customs inspection and control.
The General Administration of Customs said the visits form part of broader efforts to advance joint customs cooperation while balancing smoother trade flows with effective border controls.
