Fuel price increase still under review

In response to recent speculation regarding an imminent fuel price hike, the Head of the Local Affairs Sector and official spokesperson for the Kuwaiti government, Amer Al-Ajmi, has clarified that the government has not made any decisions regarding such a measure.

Al-Ajmi’s statement comes in response to comments made by a deputy suggesting that the government had approved a fuel price increase. Al-Ajmi emphasized that the government has deferred any decision on this matter.

“The topic is still under discussion and study within the ministerial committee for economic affairs,” Al-Ajmi stated to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
