Fire reduces vehicle scrapyard to ashes, no injuries reported

The blaze that erupted in a vehicle scrapyard in the desert industrial zone of Al-Salmi, was brought under control by Kuwait Fire Force (KFF) teams after a rapid emergency response.
Firefighters worked to quickly isolate the affected area, preventing the fire from escalating in a location known for high fire risk due to the presence of flammable scrap materials and fuel residues.

Authorities confirmed that the fire was successfully contained, with no immediate reports of casualties or injuries at the scene. The swift response was credited with limiting damage and avoiding a wider disaster.
Officials said an investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fire, which comes amid ongoing safety concerns in scrapyards and industrial zones, particularly during periods of high temperatures, KUNA reports.
