Female doctor arrested for promoting unlicensed injection
The Labor Inspection Department of the Public Authority for Manpower has arrested a female general practitioner for of advertising injection services involving substances not licensed by the Ministry of Health. The authority said the doctor was advertising the services through social media and offering the injections from her home in Al-Masayel.
The arrest came following coordination with the Ministry of Interior Criminal Security Sector and the Medical Licensing Department and Drug Inspection Department of the Ministry of Health.
After obtaining the necessary approval from the relevant authorities, the doctor was apprehended, and legal and administrative measures were taken before she was referred to the competent authorities. PAM stressed that it will continue monitoring and inspection operations and coordinating with relevant government agencies to address violations and practices that breach laws and regulations governing the labor market and professional activities.
