Kuwait's Ministry of Interior announced on Monday that explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) teams handled 21 reports over the past 24 hours involving falling debris on homes and vehicles because of defensive interception operations, resulting in some injuries but no human fatalities.

Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior announced on Monday that explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) teams handled 21 reports over the past 24 hours involving falling debris on homes and vehicles because of defensive interception operations, resulting in some injuries but no human fatalities.

Speaking during the daily media briefing on the latest developments amid ongoing Iranian attacks on Kuwait, the Ministry’s spokesperson, Brigadier Nasser Bouslaib, said the total number of debris-related reports since the beginning of the aggression has risen to 699. Warning sirens were activated seven times, bringing the total number of activations since the start of the attacks to 178, he added.

Brigadier Bouslaib also presented a visual briefing on the efforts of special forces in dealing with reports of falling debris or objects inside and outside threat zones. Regarding last night’s defensive interception operations, he affirmed that the Ministry, in coordination with relevant authorities, responded efficiently to all incoming reports to ensure rapid response and the protection of lives and property.

He noted that some citizens and residents gathered at debris-impact sites, urging the public to avoid gathering and not to approach affected areas or unidentified objects until emergency and EOD teams arrive.

He stressed that these warnings aim to ensure public safety, reduce potential risks, and enable response teams to reach incident sites quickly and perform their duties effectively. He added that some individuals and accounts were monitored spreading false rumors about fatalities, clarifying that only injuries were recorded with no deaths, and that legal action will be taken against violators.

Brigadier Bouslaib emphasized that the Ministry will take firm legal measures against rumor-mongers and anyone spreading misinformation that threatens public security or causes panic.

He reiterated the Ministry’s call for the public to rely solely on official sources and to act with awareness and national responsibility.
