Amir Receives Newly Appointed Envoys for Oath Taking Ceremony

New ambassadors and consuls general formally assume overseas postings after taking oath before Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah

His Highness the Amir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, on Tuesday received Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, along with a number of newly appointed heads of Kuwaiti diplomatic missions, who took the constitutional oath before His Highness on the occasion of assuming their new duties.

The envoys included Saleh Mubarak Al-Sarawi, Ambassador to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka; Abdulaziz Saud Al-Jarallah, Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands; Nayef Mohammed Al-Mudhaf, Ambassador to the Republic of Senegal; Abdulrahman Shehab Al-Shehab, Ambassador to the Syrian Arab Republic; and Mohammed Ali Al-Roumi, Ambassador to the Hellenic Republic.

Also taking the oath were Salem Hamad Al-Jiran, Consul General to the United States of America in Los Angeles; Abdullah Ahmed Al-Salem, Consul General to the People’s Republic of China in Guangzhou; Abdulaziz Ammash Al-Ajmi, Consul General to the Republic of Iraq in Basra; and Khaled Bader Al-Khalifa, Consul General to the Republic of Turkey in Istanbul.

The ceremony marks the formal assumption of duties by the diplomats as they begin their new assignments representing the State of Kuwait abroad.
