Dusty to weather gradually subside, says Meteorology Director

Director of the Meteorology Department, Dharar Al-Ali, announced that dust conditions across the country are expected to gradually improve by evening, as Kuwait begins to experience a shift in weather patterns.
Speaking to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Al-Ali explained that current weather maps and numerical models indicate the country is under the influence of an extension of the Indian monsoon depression.
This system is bringing with it a hot and dry air mass, along with moderate to brisk northwesterly winds — occasionally strong — with speeds ranging between 20 and 65 kilometers per hour. These winds have triggered widespread dust storms.
As a result of these strong winds, horizontal visibility in several areas — particularly open areas — has dropped to less than 1,000 meters. Additionally, sea conditions have been affected, with wave heights exceeding seven feet.
Al-Ali noted that weather is expected to remain hot and dusty during the day tomorrow, becoming relatively hot at night. Maximum temperatures are forecast to range between 44°C and 46°C, while minimum temperatures are expected to be between 31°C and 34°C.
