DDI hosts annual science poster day showcasing student research

This year, 35 students participated in various projects to explore, develop, and refine their scientific abilities, guided by senior members of the Dasman Diabetes Institute.

  • Dr. Faisal Hamed Al-Refaei, Acting Director General of the Dasman Diabetes Institute, expressed pride in the students’ presentations, noting that the program offers valuable practical experience in an integrated and advanced work environment at the institute.

The Dasman Diabetes Institute (DDI), established by the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, has wrapped up this year’s summer internship program. This annual initiative is organized by the institute for students specializing in scientific and medical fields.

The institute organized a day to display scientific posters summarizing the research conducted by students during their training period under the supervision of specialists from the institute.

The event was attended by Dr. Faisal Hamed Al-Refaei, Acting Director General of the institute, along with many researchers and doctors from the institute.

On the sidelines of the event, Dr. Al-Refaei expressed pride in the students’ presentations, noting that the program offers valuable practical experience in an integrated and advanced work environment at the institute. He highlighted that this year featured a variety of research projects and initiatives focused on diabetes.

Dr. Al-Refaei said that the aim of this three-month training program is to equip participating students with the necessary skills and practical knowledge in research and scientific fields, and to help them enhance their research capabilities.

This year, 35 students participated in various projects to explore, develop, and refine their scientific abilities, guided by senior members of the institute’s scientific and medical team and supported by the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences.

Dr. Al-Refaei concluded by stating that the Dasman Diabetes Institute is pleased to provide an environment conducive to developing the skills of the new generation of researchers in this field and wished them success.
