capability that benefits our clients – Alhouti
Dar Al Muhama announced that its Managing Partner, Abdulrahman Alhouti, received the Leadership Excellence Award for Continuous Growth as a Lawyer at the Legal Era Middle East Law Awards, held in Dubai on 22 October 2026. Mariam Alfailakawi, a lawyer with the firm, received the Young Achiever of the Year award in the Law Firm/40years below category.
The recognition comes as Dar Al Muhama, under Alhouti’s leadership, develops its institutional capabilities and broadens its services to companies and investors. Building on its knowledge of the Kuwaiti market, the firm is strengthening its capacity to handle assignments with regional and international dimensions. Its priorities include developing its lawyers, sharing knowledge across practice areas and improving the management and delivery of legal work.
“My responsibility is to build a firm whose capabilities keep pace with our clients’ needs,” said Alhouti. “Our task is to turn individual experience into institutional capability that benefits our clients. That means improving how we manage matters, making time for learning and review, and preparing our lawyers to take on greater responsibility.”
He added: “I am pleased to receive this recognition and particularly pleased to see our colleague Mariam Alfailakawi recognised for her hard work and professional progress. We want lawyers at Dar Al Muhama to have meaningful opportunities to develop their expertise and demonstrate their judgement. A stronger team gives us greater capacity to provide precise, practical advice.”
The firm’s development priorities also encompass practical legal training, technology and artificial intelligence, specialist collaboration and professional relationships that support cross-border work. Dar Al Muhama aims to translate these activities into better service and a broader range of expertise available to clients.
“Clients should experience our progress when they bring us a difficult matter,” Alhouti concluded. “They should find a team that understands their business, explains the options clearly and follows through carefully. That is how we want the firm’s growth to be measured.”
