Uzbekistan 1–3 Colombia
Colombia secured a convincing 3-1 victory over Uzbekistan in their FIFA World Cup 2026 Group K clash, with second-half goals from Luis Díaz and Jaminton Campaz sealing all three points.
Colombia made a bright start and took the lead in the seventh minute through Johan Mojica. The South Americans maintained their advantage for much of the first half despite Uzbekistan creating several opportunities.
The match turned physical as both sides picked up bookings, with Uzbekistan’s Abdukodir Khusanov cautioned in the 34th minute and Colombia’s Daniel Muñoz receiving a yellow card six minutes later.
After the break, Uzbekistan found an equaliser through Abbosbek Fayzullaev in the 60th minute, briefly bringing the hosts back into the contest. However, Colombia responded swiftly, with Luis Díaz restoring the lead in the 65th minute.
Colombia continued to press and were rewarded again when Jaminton Campaz found the net in the 72nd minute to extend the advantage to 3-1. Both teams made several substitutions in the closing stages, but Uzbekistan were unable to mount a comeback.
Campaz’s goal ultimately put the result beyond doubt as Colombia comfortably saw out the match. The victory gives Colombia a strong start in Group K, while Uzbekistan will look to bounce back in their next fixture.
