Kuwait International Airport Terminal 4 (T4), announced that several foreign airlines commenced operations at T4 effective from 17 June 2026, following the preparations and close coordination with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the Ministry of Interior (MOI), and other relevant stakeholders.

As a result, passengers travelling with EgyptAir and flydubai from 17 June, and Emirates, Middle East Airlines (MEA), Syrian Air, Air Arabia from 18 June, and Qatar Airways from 21 June depart from Terminal 4 alongside Kuwait Airways passengers. Additional airlines are expected to relocate to Terminal 4 once the ongoing flight schedule reorganization is finalized.

Incheon Korea Airport Services (IKAS), the operator of T4 said, currently, the following airlines confirmed to operate at Terminal 4:

Egypt Air, Fly Dubai, Middle East Airlines, Emirates, Air Arabia Sharjah, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, Nesma Airlines, Gulf Air, Yemenia, Nile Air, Qatar Airways, Royal Jordanian, Ethiopian Airlines, Etihad Airways, Air Arabia Egypt, Syrian Air, Turkish Airlines, Kaam Air, Salam Air while the Jazeera Airways continues to operate from Terminal 5.

The temporary relocation of foreign airline operations to T4 has been implemented following the suspension of operations at Terminal 1. In preparation for the transition, IKAS worked closely with DGCA, MOI, and participating airlines to ensure a smooth and seamless transfer of operations.

Beginning with flight Egypt Air’s MS610 on 17 June, foreign airlines gradually commenced operations at T4. Kuwait Airways passengers will continue to use Terminal 4 as usual, while passengers traveling with newly relocated foreign airlines will complete their departure procedures through dedicated check-in counters located on the eastern side of the terminal.

Foreign airline check-in counters are currently planned to operate from Counters 37–46 (Eastern side) and may be adjusted subject to operational requirements.

To accommodate the anticipated increase in passenger traffic, IKAS, together with One FM, the field service provider responsible for airport security and facility services, has strengthened terminal operations and passenger service arrangements. Additional passenger service personnel and security screening support resources have been deployed to ensure safe and efficient airport operations.

IKAS also maintains a dedicated Emergency Response Team (ERT) to provide rapid on-site support in emergency situations. Through regular exercises and operational experience conducted in coordination with DGCA and MOI, the ERT is prepared to guide passengers to designated Safety Zones and support evacuation procedures when required.

Prior to entering the departures area, passengers are required to present a valid airline ticket and follow the instructions of passenger service personnel. Access to the departures area is restricted to ticketed passengers only. Family members and visitors may utilize the T4 Kuwait Airways Parking Building or the curbside area in front of the terminal for passenger drop-off and pick-up.
