Coast Guard chief visits Abu Dhabi Shipbuilding to explore maritime cooperation

Brigadier General Sheikh Mubarak Al Yousef, Director-General of the Coast Guard, conducted an official visit on Thursday to the Abu Dhabi Shipbuilding and Manufacturing Company (ADSMC), as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration and exchange expertise in the maritime sector.

In a statement, the Ministry of Interior confirmed that the visit included a detailed briefing on the stages of implementation for the Coast Guard boat reconstruction project. Discussions also covered potential avenues for cooperation in training, technical development, and logistical support, reports Al-Rai daily.

The visit aligns with the Coast Guard administration’s broader strategy to modernize its naval fleet and enhance operational readiness, in line with the latest international standards in maritime safety and security.
