Civil Aviation: Ensuring highest standards for passenger and aircraft safety in Kuwait
The Chairman of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Sheikh Hamoud Al Mubarak, in his office, met with Mohamed Abu Bakr, the Regional Director of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) for the Middle East. They discussed ways to strengthen joint cooperation in the areas of civil aviation safety and security.
During the meeting, both Sheikh Hamoud Al Mubarak and Mohamed Abu Bakr emphasized the importance of achieving the highest international standards at Kuwait International Airport to ensure the safety of passengers and aircraft.
The meeting also focused on enhancing security and technical measures at Kuwait International Airport, with discussions centered on exchanging expertise with other countries and implementing international best practices.
Coordination was established on cooperation in training, with a focus on utilizing ICAO’s resources to train aviation sector workers. The goal is to improve the efficiency of airport staff, enhance passenger service, and strengthen aviation safety.
Al Mubarak emphasized that the meeting reflects Kuwait’s commitment to enhancing civil aviation safety and its continued cooperation with international organizations to achieve shared goals in this crucial sector.
This meeting comes within the framework of ICAO’s participation in the Safety Summit currently being held in Kuwait from November 26 to 28.
