British Ambassador pays visit to Dickson House
The British Ambassador to the State of Kuwait, H.E. Qudsi Rashid, visited the Dickson House, the residence of former British Political Agent, as part of strengthening the long-standing cultural and historical ties between the State of Kuwait and the United Kingdom.
Kuwaiti-British relations researcher Issa Dashti, accompanied by Mohammed bin Redha, Assistant Secretary-General for the Antiquities and Museums Sector at the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters, guided Ambassador Rashid on an introductory tour of the historic house.
During the visit, he viewed the historical artifacts and documents housed in the museum that document the era of the British Residency in Kuwait, and listened to a detailed explanation of the efforts of the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters in preserving and restoring this heritage landmark as an integral part of Kuwaiti historical memory.
The building stands as a significant architectural and historical landmark, reflecting the depth and longevity of the longstanding ties between Kuwait and the United Kingdom.
