Bahrain Parliament voted unanimously on Thursday to strip Abdulnabi Salman, Mamdouh Al Saleh and Mahdi Al Shuwaikh of their seats, approving a request filed by 37 MPs and backed by the Legislative and Legal Affairs Committee.
The case stemmed from the positions taken by the three MPs during Parliament’s debate on April 28, 2026, regarding Decree-Law No. 13 of 2024, which amended Article 7 of the Judicial Authority Law.
The request said they criticized measures taken by the Kingdom of Bahrain against those accused of praising Iranian attacks on the country, including the withdrawal of citizenship from those involved and from dependents whose nationality was revoked, the Bahrain Daily Tribune reports.
