Al-Ujairi Rising Temperatures Expected with Onset of Al Dhar’an Season

Period marked by unstable weather, shifting winds, and seasonal ‘Sarayat’ conditions

Kuwaiti astronomer Saleh Al-Ujairi has forecast a rise in temperatures with the onset of the Al Dhar’an season, noting that the period will continue to witness unstable weather conditions.

Al Ujairi explained that the season is characterized by the occurrence of “Sarayat,” transient weather disturbances that are a defining feature of this time of year, along with a higher angle of the sun, warmer daytime conditions, and relatively cool breezes at night. He added that the season also coincides with the migration of spring geese.

He further noted that Al Dhar’an is known for active and shifting winds that change in both speed and direction, making precise weather predictions difficult. The season typically lasts for 26 days and is divided into two distinct phases, often accompanied by noticeable fluctuations in weather patterns and temperatures.
