“Al-Makash 3” attracts record-breaking 150,000 visitors from Kuwait and Gulf

"Al-Makash 3" project attracts 150,000 visitors, with special events planned for Kuwait's national celebrations, boosting tourism and economic growth under the "New Kuwait 2035" vision.

The Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Chairman of the National Cooperative Projects Committee, Dr. Khaled Al-Ajmi, announced today, Sunday, 12th January, that the “Al-Makash 3” project has attracted approximately 150,000 visitors, including citizens, residents, and visitors from GCC countries, since its opening.

Al-Ajmi further shared with the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the 150,000 visitors mark is unprecedented and surpasses the figures from the previous two editions of the “Al-Makash 3” project, highlighting the significant success of its third edition.

The exceptional events and surprises are planned for January and February, coinciding with Kuwait’s national holiday celebrations. Visitors can expect an extraordinary experience, further solidifying the “Al-Makash 3” project as a premier destination for citizens, residents, and visitors both from within Kuwait and abroad.

Al-Ajmi added that due to the overwhelming turnout at the “Al-Makash 3” project, the working hours have been extended from 12 noon to 12 midnight. This adjustment aims to ensure the comfort of visitors and provide ample time to enjoy all the activities on offer.

Moreover, Al-Ajmi stated that the project has become a major attraction, reflecting significant development in its structure and potential. He emphasized that the project’s design was tailored to meet the needs of all segments of society, which played a key role in achieving this historic turnout.
Al-Ajmi pointed out that the project has significantly contributed to achieving the objectives of the “New Kuwait 2035” vision by revitalizing the local economy and stimulating the tourism sector, marking a qualitative step toward diversifying the country’s sources of income.

Importantly, Al-Ajmi expressed his deep gratitude to the Ministry of Interior for its vital role in facilitating the entry of visitors and addressing any challenges they faced. He also thanked the Ministry of Information, particularly the Digital Stand 51, the news sector, and the main media channels such as Kuwait Radio and Television, for their significant efforts in promoting and highlighting the exceptional events and activities organized by the project.

Al-Ajmi praised the cooperation and participation of the Ministry of Health and the General Directorate of Firefighters, acknowledging their vital contributions to the success of the project. He emphasized that this achievement highlights the importance of collaborative efforts in promoting tourism and driving economic development in the country.
