“Al AinSat-1” satellite’s successful launch marks historic achievement for UAE

The United Arab Emirates University announced the successful launch of the first satellite, “Al AinSat-1” by the National Space Science and Technology Center.
This milestone was achieved in partnership with the Earth Science and Remote Sensing Society, which is affiliated with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
The satellite was launched aboard the “SpaceX Falcon-9” rocket, and the center’s ground station successfully received the first signal from the satellite, marking an important milestone in its mission.
The Cultural Advisor to the President of the United Arab Emirates and Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University, Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh, stated that the launch of the Al AinSat-1 satellite aboard the Falcon 9 rocket is a historic achievement for the United Arab Emirates University.
This achievement marks the culmination of tireless efforts by a team of researchers and experts in collaboration with renowned international scientific institutions, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).
The Cultural Advisor Nusseibeh, pointed out that this great success represents a milestone in the university’s journey towards leadership in scientific research and space sciences.
