PAY participates in World Youth Festival 2024 in Sochi

Walid Al-Ansari, head of the Kuwaiti Public Authority for Youth delegation at the World Youth Festival 2024 in Sochi, Russia, highlighted the distinguished participation of Kuwaiti youth in introducing Kuwaiti culture, heritage, and Arab-Islamic civilization to international delegations.

Al-Ansari emphasized that Kuwaiti youth actively contributed to discussion panels and various programs encompassing sports, volunteering, culture, arts, social issues, and economics throughout the festival, which began in early March and concluded recently, reports Al-Jarida daily.

Deputy Kuwaiti Ambassador in Moscow, Ahmed Al-Baijan, commended the distinctive and prominent participation of the Kuwaiti delegation, noting their positive presence at the exhibition and events. He expressed his belief that Kuwaiti youth represent the future hope of Kuwait and its people, underscoring the embassy’s commitment to supporting the delegation and overcoming any challenges they may face. Al-Baijan emphasized the open and inclusive nature of Kuwaiti culture, which was reflected in the delegation’s participation.

Dr. Fenis Al-Ajmi, head of the preparatory committee for Kuwait’s participation in the festival, highlighted the opportunity for young people to showcase their talents in various fields such as science, culture, arts, sports, and social activities. The committee focused on highlighting Kuwait’s culture of tolerance and acceptance, which was well-received by Russian attendees. Al-Ajmi expressed gratitude to the Russian government, the Youth Festival Administration, and the Russian Embassy in Kuwait for their support and facilitation.

Al-Ajmi also extended special thanks to the Kuwaiti Embassy in Russia, led by Ambassador Dr. Rashid Al-Adwani, for their assistance and support throughout the event.

He noted that numerous cooperation agreements were signed during the festival, reflecting the interest of various countries in collaborating with Kuwait and its youth. The Kuwaiti corner and delegation attracted significant attention from youth delegates from around the world, signaling a strong desire for cooperation and exchange of experiences.
