Nazaha takes part in Arab anti-corruption preparatory meetings
The Public Authority for Combating Corruption (Nazaha) has participated in virtual preparatory sessions focused on draft resolutions ahead of a major regional meeting on combating corruption.
Nazaha representative Nada Abu Nasr took part in the sessions of the Open-Ended General Committee of Governmental Experts and Representatives of Independent Bodies of the States Parties to the Arab Convention against Corruption. The remote meetings were held in coordination with the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States to review and discuss draft resolutions scheduled to be presented during the committee’s ninth meeting.
The discussions form part of preparations for the sixth session of the Conference of States Parties to the Arab Convention against Corruption, which is scheduled to take place in Doha from September 21 to 23. Kuwait’s participation through Nazaha reflects its engagement in regional mechanisms aimed at strengthening cooperation and coordination among Arab states in combating corruption.
The preparatory sessions provide participating governments and independent anti-corruption bodies with an opportunity to examine proposed resolutions and coordinate positions ahead of the upcoming conference.
