Sulaibiya Customs foils attempt to smuggle alcoholic beverages in truck
Customs inspectors monitoring the vegetable market inspection area were able to seize a quantity of alcoholic beverages while inspecting one of the trucks at the Sulaibiya Customs Department.
The inspection resulted in the seizure of 11 bottles of alcoholic beverages, in addition to one bottle of beer.
The General Administration of Customs explained that the discovery of the seized items was made possible through the customs sense, vigilance and diligence of the inspectors during routine inspection procedures.
Accordingly, the Customs Investigation and Search Department was contacted, and coordination was made with the General Administration for Drug Control at the Ministry of Interior to take the necessary legal measures regarding the incident and the seized items.
