KSE posts mixed performance last week as trading activity picks up

The performance of the Kuwait Stock Exchange last week was mixed, according to a specialized economic report issued Saturday by Al-Shall Consulting Company. The report noted increases in the value and volume of traded shares, as well as the number of transactions, while the Al-Shall Index (value index) declined.

The Al-Shall Index closed at approximately 714.1 points at the end of trading last Thursday, down 5.3 points, or 0.7 percent, from the previous week’s close. It also remained lower by about 23.5 points, or 3.2 percent, compared to the end of 2025.

According to the report, share prices of 11 companies increased last week, unchanged from the previous week, while 17 companies recorded declines, compared with 12 companies the week before. Meanwhile, one company recorded no change in its share price, compared with six companies in the previous week.

The Kuwait Stock Exchange Company, established in April 2014, is responsible for managing stock market operations. Since 2016, it has contributed to enhancing communication, growth, and innovation while supporting the Capital Markets Authority, issuers, investors, and other stakeholders.

The company plays a pivotal role in developing Kuwait’s capital market and diversifying the national economy in line with the objectives of Kuwait Vision 2035.
