Interior Minister stresses equal justice, says law applies to everyone without exception

Kuwait has graduated 486 new investigators, including the first female police officers to enter investigative roles, as First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Yousef Saud Al-Sabah stressed that investigation is a national responsibility requiring integrity, impartiality and strict adherence to the law.
Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef made the remarks on Monday while attending the graduation ceremony of the eighth batch of investigators at the General Department of Investigations.
Addressing the graduates, he said investigative work is a trust that must be carried out with complete fairness and objectivity to uncover the truth, safeguard rights and ensure justice.
He urged the new investigators to uphold the confidence placed in them by the country and make justice and the law the foundation of their professional duties.
“The law applies to everyone without exception,” he stressed, calling on investigators to make no distinction based on age, status or position.
First female police officers join investigations
The eighth batch comprises 307 male and 179 female graduates. Among the male graduates are 35 officers, while the female graduates include four female officers.
The batch marks a significant development for Kuwait’s police force as it is the first time female police officers have graduated to work in the field of investigations, expanding the participation of women in a key area of law enforcement.
Following their graduation, the new investigators took the legal oath before Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef. The oath was administered by Public Prosecutor Dr Ibrahim Al-Sharqawi.
The graduates will begin their professional careers with the rank of Investigator C.
Integrity and responsibility
Director General of Investigations Major General Dr Faisal Al-Makrad highlighted the important role investigators play within Kuwait’s justice and law-enforcement system.
He stressed that investigators carry a significant responsibility and must perform their duties with honesty, integrity and a firm commitment to the law.
The ceremony was attended by Ministry of Interior Undersecretary Major General Abdul Wahab Al-Wahib, Deputy Director General for Investigation Departments Affairs Reem Al-Mousa, and Deputy Director General for Technical Office and Disciplinary Council Affairs Bassam Al-Mashouh.
The graduation of the new batch strengthens Kuwait’s investigative workforce while marking a milestone in the expanding role of women in the country’s law-enforcement sector.
