102 Nepalis, Ambassador, donate blood in Kuwait humanitarian drive

A total of 102 Nepalis, including Nepal’s Ambassador to Kuwait Ghanshyam Lamsal, donated blood during a humanitarian campaign organized by the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), Kuwait Chapter, marking its 17th Establishment Day.
The blood donation drive was held at the Central Blood Bank in Jabriya, with Ambassador Lamsal joining Nepali migrant workers and members of the wider Nepali community in the initiative.
The campaign drew strong participation from the Nepali community. FNJ Kuwait Chapter President Raj Malla Thakuri said 102 participants successfully donated blood, while some others who arrived at the blood bank were unable to donate after failing the required medical screening.
The FNJ Kuwait Chapter has previously organized blood donation campaigns as part of its ongoing social and humanitarian activities in Kuwait.
Madhav Shahi Memorial Journalism Award presented
The occasion also saw the presentation of the Madhav Shahi Memorial Journalism Award to Prem Kumar Jimi, Chairman of Nirem Productions and a member of the FNJ Foreign Chapter.
Jimi received a 75 dinars cash prize, along with a certificate of appreciation and a traditional shawl in recognition of his contribution to journalism.
The FNJ Kuwait Chapter has presented the Madhav Shahi Memorial Journalism Award annually for the past four years, honoring journalists for their active contribution to the profession.
Madhav Shahi, a former Vice President of the FNJ Foreign Chapter, Kuwait, passed away five years ago due to a heart attack.
The award was established in his memory to recognize and encourage active journalists contributing to the Nepali community in Kuwait.
