Nazaha head pays tribute to martyrs on Iraqi invasion anniversary

Chairperson of the Kuwait Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha), Dr. Rana Al-Fares, said the anniversary of the Iraqi invasion serves as a powerful reminder of the resilience of the Kuwaiti people and their unwavering unity behind the country’s legitimate leadership until Kuwait regained its freedom, sovereignty and dignity.

In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Dr. Al-Fares said the occasion renews feelings of pride, loyalty and gratitude toward Kuwait’s martyrs, prisoners of war and missing persons, whose sacrifices remain deeply embedded in the nation’s history.

She described the anniversary as an enduring national milestone that embodies the values of unity, solidarity and patriotism, affirming that Kuwait will always remain strong through the commitment of its people and the guidance of its wise leadership.

Dr. Al-Fares stressed that honoring the sacrifices made during the occupation goes beyond remembrance and is reflected in dedicated service to the nation, protecting public institutions, safeguarding public funds and upholding the principles of integrity, transparency and the rule of law.

She added that preserving these values is essential to strengthening national unity and ensuring that future generations continue to build on the legacy of those who defended the country.
