Facebook blackout, millions left disconnected as worldwide outage hits website

Facebook users around the world were left unable to access their accounts on Sunday after the social media giant suffered a major outage affecting its desktop website.
Thousands of users reported being blocked from logging in, with many receiving an “Account Temporarily Unavailable” message when attempting to open the platform through web browsers.
The disruption was first reported shortly after 3:30pm Sunday, with complaints quickly spreading across online platforms as users searched for answers.
The outage appeared to affect Facebook’s desktop service globally, while the mobile application continued to function normally for many users. Other Meta-owned platforms, including Instagram, were not reported to be affected.
Monitoring website Down Detector recorded thousands of reports from users experiencing problems with Facebook. The complaints included difficulties accessing
